Born in Africa to British parents working overseas, travelled extensively with them, educated in England.
Worked as geography teacher in secondary schools in South London and then in nearby schools both in Kent & Tandridge.
Moved into Special Education as teacher at Young Epilepsy (St Piers/NYCPE) for 15 years
Now retired from teaching
I serve as a elected parish councillor for both Lingfield and Dormansland Parish Councils. Having lived in the area since 1989, I have a wide knowledge of the locality and have volunteered for a variety of projects, like Lingfield Larder (Community Fridge) and the Lingfield Nature Reserves.
I represented Tandridge District Council as the Lingfield and Crowhurst Ward Independent Councillor from May 2015 to January 2023.

I believe Lingfield is much better served by independent councillors. With the experience I have had over the previous 8 years as a hardworking councillor who understands how Tandridge council works and who is willing to keep politics out of local government to serve the residents directly.

Currently working on the Lingfield Conservation Area Appraisal, following my proposal to Tandridge District Council to facilitate the Parish Council to undertake this essential review.
Star Fields Planning Inquiry
July to September 2023
Prepared the Lingfield Parish Council Statement of Case for the Inquiry as a Rule 6 Party
Attended and spoke at all the public hearings, cross examined the applicant's witnesses.
I believe the strong local case made by The Star Fields Action group and Lingfield Parish Council were key elements helping convince the planning inspector to dismiss the appeal.
